Our centre could not function successfully without key partnerships. We work very closely with teachers, students, schools, guardian families, parents, agents and corporate clients in order to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our establishment.

Working in partnership with prestigious universities, boarding schools and colleges, and delivering the experience and teaching skills of their tutors at our study centre, we are able to provide our clients with the highest standards in all aspects of our educational programmes.

With the pastoral support of our guardian families our philosophy of a fully integrated approach is being upheld at all times.

Parents

Throughout the study programme we keep in close communication with the parents of our students. It is important to us to engage all parties who are part of the educational process. Parents are regularly informed of the progress of their child on a day-to-day basis and we are ready to discuss all aspects with them directly. Overseas parents are also able to develop a close relationship with the guardian who accommodates and looks after their child.

Students

At our study centre, we have a nice mix of international students from different parts of the world and this provides a wonderful opportunity to make long-lasting relationships. With the professional help and personal commitment of our friendly and experienced tutors, our students can achieve their very best in their quest to realize their educational goals. Our small study environment is very conducive to their successful learning.

Our international students are gently introduced to a different culture whilst making rapid progress through the programme English at All Times (EAT)©. In the afternoons, they can participate in many sports activities and can visit many well known places of special interest in and around London.

Teachers

All our language teachers are highly educated and very well qualified. You are welcome to click here to find out more about their qualifications and background.

The programme of tuition for each student is always carefully discussed, concentrating on the student's personal skills and expectations, in order to achieve the best possible results. Then we provide teachers with a syllabus based on the information and educational materials received from the student's selected school. Teachers inform us daily about a student's progress. In this way we can take the necessary steps to optimize a student's ability and to achieve the best possible final result for each student.

Guardian families

The guardian's role is crucial, both in the early days when students may experience homesickness or cultural shock, and thereafter for any emergencies, crises and challenges, and for making practical arrangements. Our guardian families provide our students with educational and personal support throughout their stay in the UK. Most importantly, they are an essential element of the English at All Times (EAT) © programme in their provision of linguistic support. They are encouraged to establish a good relationship with the parents of their student and have to communicate efficiently to Sutherland Education all information about arrangements and any issues concerning their student.

Schools

LISC and Sutherland Education cherish their long-established links with more than 200 boarding schools (for the list of schools please click here). Whenever requested by parents or agents, we help to find the right school for our students; we are happy to look after them throughout their studies in the UK. This is only made possible by working closely with the boarding school, the guardian family, student and parents. Boarding schools also kindly recommend both our LISC preparatory courses and guardianship services to their prospective overseas parents. We work hard to nurture good relations with the Heads, Bursars, Registrars, and Housestaff of the boarding schools where we have students in our guardianship, in order to safeguard and promote their welfare. To this end we consider excellent communication as paramount.

Corporate clients

We have been working successfully for many years with well-known companies, some of them blue-chip, to provide their employees and senior managers with linguistic support. We discuss the study programme and specific requirements before the start of the programme. We offer business English lessons in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, both at our centre, and at the offices of your company. Our tutors are highly educated and experts in their subjects.
