Dragon Boat Race - The results
The 'Dragon Boat Race', raising money for The Princess Alice Hospice.
Posted: July 2009
Dear Colleagues,
On the 19th of July 2009 staff, parents, friends, students and well wishers of the Sutherland Education Group (Sutherland Education, London International Study Centre and Sutherland Day Nursery) came together to race 'The Dragon Boat' to raise money for The Princess Alice Hospice.

It was truly a team spirited race. Team Sutherland raced 3 times and our best time was clocked during the very first race. We came only 12 seconds behind the winners although it was the very first time any of us had ever raced in a Dragon Boat! Some of our crew members were international students as young as 14. We were the most international team consisting of participants from Russia, China, France, Belarus, Nepal, Slovakia, Poland, South Africa, Ireland and England. Long live the United Nations!
It was a fun filled activity and everybody enjoyed it tremendously and even the weather did not dampen our competitive spirits. Even though our team did not secure any winning trophies, we are looking forward to taking part in the same event next year and supporting another charity.

If any of you would like to join us next time, you will be very welcome to do so.!! :0 ) ...if you are in London then!!!!!
Warmest Regards
