English language
Language students can come to us to study general or academic English any time during the year; we only close for one week at Christmas. We accept students from all over the world. Our EAT© (English at All Times) are intensive, designed for students who wish to see real progress within a short span of time by combining tuition with a social programme of educational trips and activities with an interactive stay in a caring English speaking family. Please see testimonials for more information on what past students have said.
Finally, our parent and child course allows us to accept parents with either a child aged 9+ or a little one who attends our nursery for children 0-5. Sutherland Day Nursery is situated only two doors away from LISC. This enables parents to bond with their children in a new cultural environment and combines time off work with learning the language and experiencing England with their child. A very popular option!
Intensive English Course
Our centre is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English. We have designed an INTENSIVE ENGLISH COURSE specifically for students who wish to improve their language skills. At LISC we make use of carefully selected and age appropriate teaching resources to ensure that your particular needs are met. This course is for students of all ages and levels who want to improve their speaking, writing, reading and listening skills.
INTENSIVE ENGLISH COURSE is also suitable for students wishing to enter the UK education system. Each programme, adapted to the student's age and entry requirements, covers general knowledge, verbal skills and basic terminology of subjects such as maths, science, history, geography and business. Students may prepare for specific English language qualifications, like an IELTS and Cambridge ESOL certificates.

'Our tutor for international students said how very pleased she has been with the progress made by S.R.M. who has been following an intensive English course at your centre. She told me that she is unrecognisable from the student that we assessed earlier in the term, as her English has improved far beyond our expectations. We would like to thank you very much for the high quality support that you have provided for the girl, who is now able to join our school.' Headmistress
