Next steps after LISC
LISC is a privately owned and independent study centre. We can offer impartial and objective advice to all students. This is also the reason why school registrars like working with us as we are not affiliated to any mainstream school or owned by a corporation. It is a family run business with very friendly and competent staff.

Most LISC students, apart from those coming for short-term language programmes, already attend UK mainstream schools and colleges or are planning to join the education system at a secondary or higher education level in the near future. During their time at LISC, we evaluate each student's progress and ability and, whenever requested, discuss with them various options open to them once they have completed our courses. Students coming to LISC without an educational consultant can benefit from our comprehensive placement service.
The small group tuition at LISC and exceptionally high level of individual support greatly contribute to our excellent results. LISC's recent two year average of grades for iGCSE students has been 100% pass, 73.5% A*-B grades. Students have secured places at such schools as Brighton College, Badminton School, Hurtwood House, Caterham School, Bromsgrove, Clifton College, St Lawrence School, Concord College and many others. Please view a more comprehensive list of schools with which we have worked through LISC and Sutherland Education over the years.
Most parents find our comprehensive guidance through the maze of over 2,500 schools really helpful as it includes:
- compiling a student profile
- narrowing down options to suit a student's needs and aspirations
- preparing a shortlist of schools meeting the requirements
- discussing options with parents and a student
- presenting a candidate to selected schools
- organizing school visits, interviews
- making practical arrangements
- preparation for school entrance exams
- administrative assistance with the process
- ongoing guidance and support
'I love the school you have chosen for me. It was the best thing ever. Thank you so much!'

School registrars say that they really like receiving students from us because they know they can trust our reports and our students' English is often at a much higher level than that of other students coming directly from abroad or boarding preparatory courses. LISC students integrate really well into a school community and thrive academically, having had such good preparation on our English at All Times and academic courses combined with study skills.
When selecting a suitable school or college, we take into consideration the following criteria:
- age range, boy/girl, boarding/day school
- size, location, accommodation type
- academic level, curriculum
- special needs
- religion
- special interests and abilities
- ethos
A decision to send a child abroad is not an easy one. It is a major emotional and financial investment. It is therefore extremely important to get the school choice right. At LISC we try not only to competitively price our programmes but also give you the best possible return on investment through the high quality school selection process, meeting your and your child's needs.
Also, if you are attending a boarding school in England, we can continue supporting you by providing guardianship through our sister organisation - Sutherland Education - with its reputation for excellent care. You will have 24 hour emergency support, as well as an ongoing educational and welfare assistance from a knowledgeable guardian who will be in regular contact with you and your parents overseas.
We have young people's future at heart.
Our commitment is to helping develop their full potential.
Let us contribute to YOUR FUTURE!
